UL listed-The Underwriters Laboratory is an international product safety organization that tests products & materials and is approved for testing by the federal agency OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). For a waste receptacle to pass the UL 242 Standard test, it must be able to contain burning paper without contributing fuel to the flame.
FM approved (Factory Mutual) – Factory Mutual is an independent testing agency whose waste receptacle approvals are based on Standard 6921: Combustible Waste Containers. The performance criteria for containers with covers or lids are measured against their ability to withstand internal fires, maintain a range of stability if dumped, and stay intact over a wide temperature range.
